A Recipe for Balanced Skin
It has taken me a very long time to give into the green juice trend. Sure I enjoy the Naked Green Juices but that stuff ain't really good for you. My husband has been making green and beet juices for at least a year and I just couldn't stand the taste. After many many one sip, then pass notions, I have finally gotten used to the taste and can seriously say it really doesn't help with balancing your skin and fighting acne!
Many foods in our diet, refined carbs, dairy, meats and poultry promote toxic acids in your body. To help neutralize and balance that acidity, eat alkaline-promoting vegetables such as kale, beets, cauliflower, lettuce, onions and broccoli. Juicing is a great opportunity to get all that goodness into your body. I'm starting slow, but here is what I have been drinking every morning recently to start my mornings!
Ingredients: Kale, Watercress, Parsley, Apples, Carrots, Ginger, Lemon (and sometimes I will add blueberries)
It definitely wakes me up in the morning and I have noticed a tremendous change in my skin. The past few weeks I have had very stressed, red and angry skin and ever since I have been drinking green juice it's all gone away! This is the perfect recipe for balanced skin!
